Swapan Munshi

Swapan Munshi joined the firm after working in forensic mental health for 10 years. He previously worked, managed, and consulted for the United States Veteran's Affairs Department, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California State University, and multiple non-profit and private companies. He specialized in mindfulness based interventions and cognitive behavioral strategies. Swapan assisted in publishing research on the outcomes of such programs facilitated in the prison system.

Swapan enjoys the puzzled look on people's faces when they hear of his seemingly illogical career evolution. He often considers his work "financial therapy", listening to the needs of his clients and meeting them exactly where they are, being non-judgemental, and helping to educate them on their possible actions and the consequences that can follow them. He enjoys uncovering people's fixed beliefs pertaining to money and increasing their financial awareness within the current economic landscape.

Swapan sincerely believes that most people want to do what's right: right for themselves, right for their families, and right for their communities. That's one of the reasons he joined Amit's financial practice. Swapan wanted the opportunity to work somewhere that made it easy for other people to do what was right financially, and more importantly, made it easy for him to assist them with the most intelligent solutions available.
